This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how KanjiPos Inc. and Kanji Processing (collectively, “Kanji,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with your access to and use of our point-of-sale systems, software, payment processing integrations, websites, applications, hardware, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy applies to business customers and their authorized users (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) and governs information collected through your use of the Services.

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Policy.

I. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect and process the following categories of information:
1 ) Business and Account Information/Information you provide when registering or using the Services, including:
- Business name, address, and contact information
- Owner or authorized representative information
- Email addresses and phone numbers
- Account credentials and login information
- Bank account information and credit/debit card information
2 ) Transaction and Operational Data/Information generated through your use of the Services, including:
- Sales transactions and payment amounts
- Product, inventory, SKU, and pricing data
- Order history and business activity
- Device usage and system interaction data
3 ) Technical and Device Information/Information automatically collected when you use the Services, including:
- IP address and approximate location
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- System logs, diagnostics, and performance data
- Usage patterns and activity metrics
4 ) Communications Data
- Customer support inquiries
- Emails, chats, or other communications with Kanji
5) Future Data Collection
- While we may not currently collect or store certain categories of data (including certain transaction-level or user-level data), you acknowledge and agree that we may begin collecting, storing, and using such data in the future, subject to this Policy and applicable law.

II. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use collected information for purposes including:
- Providing, operating, and maintaining the Services

- We may share aggregated or anonymized data that does not identify you for any lawful purpose.

IV. DATA OWNERSHIP AND RIGHTS

As between you and Kanji:
- You retain ownership of your business data entered into the system (“Your Data”)
- Kanji retains ownership of the platform, software, and all underlying technology

You grant Kanji a broad, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and analyze Your Data as necessary to:
- Provide and improve the Services
- Perform analytics and reporting
- Develop new features and offerings

We may create and use aggregated or anonymized data derived from Your Data without restriction.

V. DATA RETENTION

We retain information for as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Services
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

We may retain anonymized or aggregated data indefinitely.

VI. DATA SECURITY

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information.

However, no system is completely secure. You acknowledge that:
- We cannot guarantee absolute security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for securing your own systems and networks

The Services may integrate with or rely on third-party services, including payment processors, hardware providers, and external software systems.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or performance of such third parties. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

- Obtaining any necessary consents from your customers

Kanji does not have a direct relationship with your customers and is not responsible for your compliance obligations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
